Cash Anti - Interview

1. Tell us your rap name and where are you from?

My name is Ca$h Anti and I’m from the IE in California

2. What made you start making music?

Ive always wanted to make music since about my freshman year of high school. Since music has always been my biggest interest its really just a passion that I decided to make a reality.

3. Who are your influences in rap?

I have many influences but I feel like my main ones would be KINGMOSTWANTED, xxxtentacion, Broly500!, $not, and Dc the don.

4. What is your take on the underground rap scene right now?

I feel like the underground rap scene is underwhelming right now, there aren’t enough people either getting recognized or trying to get recognized which is causing a lot of talent to be skipped over.

5. What are your goals for the new year regarding music?

Since this is my first year making music and actually getting songs out I just want to be able to release an album alongside a few eps and hopefully make money off one of my projects by the end of the year.

6. You have 1 person to thank, who would it be?

I don't want to be generic and say something like my mom or my dad or anything like everyone else because its obvious that I appreciate my family. With that being said though there isn’t one person I can thank over everyone, its all or none so I want to thank my TD crew for holding me down.

7. What is your process for recording music ?

More times than not I look for beats first, whether its off YouTube or getting in contact with a friend/producer that I know. After that I just listen to the beat a few times and freestyle in my head a little just to get an idea for a flow then I either get to writing or I start recording. The recording process varies though because I either freestyle all the way through or I try to and anytime I mumble I just go back and record words in the space.

8.Any upcoming projects or singles fans should be getting ready for this year?

I have an EP thats releasing in March called Colorful Chaos that I’ve been working on along my normal singles.

9. What have you been doing music wise while in COVID times?

COVID has probably helped me musically more than its hurt me because it has made me focus more on learning music related things such as mixing and mastering, finding flows, and just in general how to make music. It has also forced me into recording more with the free time I have so I end up having way more songs in the vault than I would if covid wasn’t around.

10.What impact do you want to have on the world?

I want to be able to show people that it is possible to make a passion into a career because I feel like too many people are focused on making money or going to school even if they don't know what they want to do with their lives. I personally feel that the more people who choose to work around their passion instead of working around a dollar, the happier people will be with themselves in the future.

11.What's your best collaboration experience with another artist or producer?

I haven’t had any collaborations yet besides with the producers who make me beats but there are a few songs that will be on the way that I am snagging features for.

12. Who does all of your cover art or do you make your own?

Its a mixture between pictures I take and edits either me or my friends do. The last edits I had though were made by @rvgst on twitter.

13. Who makes most of your beats or production?

I produce everything myself right now but a few of my go to’s are mattrixx or trashy beats for beats.

14. What can we expect next from you ?

At the moment I would say expect at least 2 songs a month with EPs occasionally. I have a small schedule I want to stick to to hopefully bring in or at least maintain an audience. But for my most relevant project, be on the lookout for Colorful Chaos.
