Forgotten One - Interview

1. Tell us your rap name and where are you from?
- Stage Name, "Forgotten One”, from San Antonio, Texas.
2. What made you start making music?
- To get my message out there to the people who need it.
3. Who are your influences in rap?
- Number one inspiration is Mike Stud. Grew up in the 90’s, so mainly the popular artists from that time including; Eminem, Jay-Z, Notorious B.I.G, Kanye West, T.I, etc. Most recent for me are Drake, J. Cole, & Logic.
4. What is your take on the underground rap scene right now?
- Tons of talent, super competitive, but not as big as people may think the scene is.
5. What are your goals for the new year regarding music?
- Hire a Manager, get added to a Spotify Editorial Playlist, 20k followers on Twitter and some other ones.
6. You have 1 person to thank, who would it be?
- Anyone who’s ever listened to my music.
7. What is your process for recording music ?
- Simple - find a beat, write, go to the studio to record.
8.Any upcoming projects or singles fans should be getting ready for this year?
- Yes, I have a 2-pack release called, “Starter Pack” including my song called “Your Choice” & “Don’t Give Up" (remix) featuring Elijah Kyle. It will be coming in late March.
9. What have you been doing music wise while in COVID times?
- Putting in the work to build my fanbase/following and writing/recording a good amount of music.
10.What impact do you want to have on the world?
- Inspire, motivate, and help people from the messages and purpose in my music.
11.What's your best collaboration experience with another artist or producer?
- I made a hip-hop/r&b LP called, “Underground Diamonds” last December (2020) which featured 6 other super talented underground artists and the whole project came out really well. It was basically a collab album with a few singles of mine as well.
12. Who does all of your cover art or do you make your own?
- I work with an international record label based out of NYC named, “Bentley Records” and they do all my cover art.
13. Who makes most of your beats or production?
- I have a local producer named, “Adrian Vasquez” who has been my main producer for the last year or so. I get my beats from all over but "Sinima Beats” has been one of my main sources.
14. What can we expect next from you ?
- Anything’s possible…but for sure a bunch of singles, at least 2 projects, a few music videos, and more this year!
