1. Tell us your name and a bit about yourself!

My name is Kenny Fields I’m a 21 year old artist from Los Angeles CA I’m of Mexican and Guatemalan decent. Just an underdog on a mission to take over the rap game.

2. What made you start making music?

I’ve always been into music, I used to play the drums as a kid. It wasn’t until Highschool when I started writing poetry as an escape and as a way to diss this girl who broke my heart haha. A couple years ago I was presented the opportunity to record in the studio and I fell in love since.

3. Who are your influences?

My influences range, I’m a big fan of Kid Cudi, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, and The Weeknd just to name a few.

4. What is your take on the underground rap scene right now?

I think it’s flowing in the right direction. I know there’s plenty of talented cats out their who work their asses off daily. I really hope they get their time of day.

5. What are your goals for 2019 regarding music?

Realistically I’m looking to grow my fan base to hundreds of thousands if not a couple million.  I have a music video I just finished for my song “blueprint” which I’m really looking forward to put out. Ultimately my goal is to put out the best music for all my supporters and take over my niche. I’m also looking into merchandise which I plan to put out by end of year.

6. You have 1 person to thank who would it be?

That would be my boy Enovate for always providing the right mix for my songs. Shoutout to al producers out there! Y’all are the real mvps.

7. What is your process for recording music?

I like to be prepared when I record. Depending on the mood of the track, mostly I try to do everything in one take but that’s just me. Other times we take it piece by piece and then gradually put everything together until it sounds right.

8. Any upcoming projects or singles fans should be getting ready for?

My newest single Confessions dropping January 18 on all platforms. I have plenty of other material on the way as well, just figuring out the perfect time to drop. An album is also in the works currently so I’m excited for that!

9. What is your favorite part about being an artist/musician/rapper?

There is no limits to this. I love being able to express yourself, especially when you can’t find the right words to say or you just can’t find a way to cope with your feelings, I find beauty in grabbing a pen & paper and writing away.

10. What impact do you want to have on the world?

I want people to listen to my music and remember the most beautiful moments in their lives. I want my fans to be able to escape whatever they’re going through when listening to my music and understand there is hope for anyone trying to make something of their lives.

11. What are your ambitions with music is this just a hobby or is this a full blown 24/7 lifestyle your embodying?

I made a decision about a year ago I was gonna make music my whole life so there’s no backing out now. My mission is to create the best music I can while I’m living and breathing. I know big things are on the way.

12. Who is your favorite artist in the rap game right now and why?

Hmmm that’s hard one, but if I had to pick I would say J Cole. I absolutely loved his newest album because it spoke volumes to me. I don’t think there could’ve been a better time for him to drop KOD with all the corruption going on in America and all these kids falling victim to drugs and abuse.

13. Anything else you have to say?

Nothing else other than look after your boy this year! Big things coming and shoutout to everyone who’s supported me from the jump! I love you all, we’re in for a crazy ride.
