OffSpring Mysterious - Interview

Tell us your rap name and where are you from?

Answer: Ready to hear a long story of Offspring Mysterious? Glad you do!!!!!! Here how it started.

It all started one day when me and my bro was watching this scary and sad ass movie when this guy got turned into a seal, think it was called tusk, then we decided to turn to a different movie to make the mood happy, one thing we know we was playing threw some girly ass songs for some reason, then when we heard under our spell, he gave me the idea to sample it, so I did, week later that's when he came and heard the beat he was like YOOOOOOOOOO THIS SHIT DUMB LIT o naw this blowing us up. Made me a Twitter called beatsmode, then I got to thinking damn what would be a cold ass name, then idk I was looking at fan fanfiction and was like I can make a whole fan fanfiction and be like yo I'm from Hoodvile the bad part of equestria, then I got to thinking what would make a good ass pony name, then offspring came to mind, ever since then I started to take the name seriously and was like I got the look, the persona and I know just how I'm gonna make this character a thing, and that's how offspring came to mind

What made you start making music?

Answer: When I was 13, I would always get these visions of me being a big time hiphop artist and I wouldn't know why. What was even crazy is, at that time, I wasn't even thinking about being a producer. I wanted to be a football player at the time but reality kicked in and i mean literati kicked in when I ribs. Yea, fun times in my high school football camp. Then later on, I wanted to be apart of film and recording. But later on the years, Everytime I always wake up before a dream, I always hear a dope ass beat nobody ever heard of before only to wake up to forget how it sound. Aye, I KNOW ya'll producers could relate! Anyway, getting off track. That's been happening to me for years and years down the road. Then 2017 hit me, me and my bro Levels, by the way shouts out to him, I mix for him by the way. It was the final days in school and the teachers asked us "What do ya'll wanna do when you graduate high school?" My bro said music, and I was like "You know what? Fuck it I mind as well do it too." Along side to listening to hella future, and drake songs and wonder Damn, if I knew how to make music I want my beats to sound like that!

 Who are your influences?

Answer: Kayne West, Timberline (think I said his name right) Pierre Bourne, DJ Esco, young scooter cause those two always have bangers with future, and Noah 40.

What is your take on the underground rap scene right now?

Answer: In my opinion, people say underground is dead, but that's bullshit. Cause believe it of not, if you pay real close attention to the underground scene now, It's A LOT of very versatile artist that deserve the recognition they deserve. I'll even name em. DBGYoungdub, Stone, Thirteen, Official SYK, Black Cash, DJT, Solak, Level$, LK, Studious Pupil, Xoui, B life, Pluto Nash, Sorry X, (She's not a rapper but boy is her singing is unique) YoungShaq, Fuego, and Competizione.

What are your goals for 2019 regarding music?

Answer: Might wanna put that as a 2020 question now since 2019 is damn near over lmao. But I feel like i achieved some goals had set threw out the years. Make a lot of connections with dope underground artist, discover my own sound with making beats and master it, having the confidence to putting something unique out there and having a lot of people loving it, mix and master somebody else vocals besides my bro, create an ep for my beats, get one of my songs used for a youtube video, and last but not least, create a album for January.

You have 1 person to thank who would it be?

Answer: This is a hard question cause I have a lot of people to thank lol. But I gotta say my bro Level$ for buying me the equipment to make music, and being part of the grind and push each other to get better. Even doe sometimes he gets on my nerves with being picky lmao but naw if it wasn't for him, GOD knows when I will even begin to make a sound at all lmao.

What is your process for recording music ?

Answer: Where do I begin???? Let's see, untangle the wires so one of the equipment doesn't bug out, record that exact same song 5 times so we can determined which could be use for background vocals and adlibs, pray to GOD you don't hear static in the audio, O and my persoal favorite, readjusting the microphone volume cause sometimes you gotta rap loud cause sometimes for some miraculous reason, your vocals would sound low as fuck when your recording. Boy, if only ya'll knew HALF the story of what goes on. I mean it.

Any upcoming projects or singles fans should be getting ready for?

Answer: December 2, 2019 I'm dropping my second single from my Album called Operation: Take Over

The single is gonna be named Nature's Harmony Interlude. As for the album, that's gonna be released on New Year's Day.

What is your favorite part about being an artist/musician/rapper?

Answer: Nothing satisfies me more when I pick a random song to sample then somehow manage to take a certain part of the song, make it a very unique melody nobody ever heard of, but the finish touches on it to complete it, and have the whole world intrigued with my craft. Even get people asking me " Yo dude, what song did you sample? How did you do this? Who even taught you to sample like that?"Their reactions when I tell em the songs I sampled always tickle my fancy. I actually get a kick out of sending them links to my secret stash. shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

What impact do you want to have on the world?

Answer: My impact would be changing the way how music is sampled, having that very unique sound nobody could mock, not even Kakashi sensei using his copycat jutsu to copy my sound. Being different is better then being somebody else clone. Having so much power to the point I have more power then the government (and just like that they're on to me), and help build up a community with schools that teaches you real shit instead of the outdated mess they still teach in schools now. Ops my bad, did I said that out loud? Houses that are up to date with everything included, and help empowered the youth and the black community for the better.

What are your ambitions with music is this just a hobby or is this a full blown 24/7 lifestyle your embodying?

Answer: Right now it's a hobby I'm trying to make as a 24/7 lifestyle. Only thing that's stopping me is my job which I hate so deeply and bills gotta be paid. Even trying to invest into better sounding equipment.

Who is your favorite artist in the rap game right now and why?

Answer: A lot of people don't know him cause he's not mainstream, but you could bet your ass Chicago sure does. Montana Of 300. Ever since I heard his remix of Try me by Dej Loaf, that track alone got me hooked to him. The way he spits and his way of referencing other artist name as a bar be smooth as hell. Hell, even every song he either drops now and he already made back then be catchy as hell. He even talks about his life growing up in his songs, you should listen to them. I promise you you'll get hooked off of one song alone.

what does the music you create make you feel?

Answer: The number one thing I always feel is hype, and I can turn that hype energy to either happiness, motivational, craziness, or sad. I can make you sad hype, or dark and evil hype. I don't know what it is but the melody alone always get me hype.

why is music so important and dear to your heart ?

Answer: I feel like with the music I hear, we always have this connection where I can feel it giving me it's energy. Everytime I feel a kick, I can feel that kick in my heart. My heart even matches the tone of the kick alone. When I close my eyes and open them twice, I can see his figure that looks just like me accept that's my musical soul pressing his hand on my heart and giving me this uncontrollable energy to keep pushing forward no matter the obstacle. It honestly gives me a high and I love this high and I want everybody to feel my musical high experience with me. Every new different sound you hear from me is my new different high experience. Just a little fun fact if anybody was curious,

Taking this as a passion what works best with you for endeavors you may face (regarding to music)?

Answer: Long as I have that one supporter always there for me from my highs and lows and even when I die, I'm always good.

whats your best collaboration experience with another artist or producer? Answer:

Aaaa man I'll never forget when levels told me to sample Under Our Spell and I went on and did it. I showed him my work and his reaction had me hype. Boy the amount of retakes, months, time, trouble, new tactics, outside opinions and hyping ourselves up when we was gonna drop our first single in 2019 was most alive I ever felt last year. If I could do it all over again, I damn sure would. Our first single was called spellbound by the way.

who does all of your cover art or do you make your own?

Answer: Technically speaking from a graphical standpoint, google image does my cover art lmao. All I do is google the image that matches the song title, screenshot it, send that hoe to picsart and photoshop myself in the coverart and say boom here it is lol. But on a few occasions, my homie Black Cash made 3 of my cover arts. One for Man Slaughter Titan, God of Fear and Hypnosis.

who makes most of your beats or production?

Answer: That'll be Offspring Mysterious aka me since I'm a producer after all lol.

who is one artist you wish to work on music with and why?

Answer: Get ready to clown me, laugh and take away my black card, but Owl City. I don't know what is is about it but I feel like me and him can make a song of the century cause of how musically gifted he is. I wish he stop playing around and release more songs already. The wait is killing me.

who is one producer you wish to work with and why?

Answer: Noah 40. I feel like he can give me pointers of what sound to use on this certain melody, how he sampled his songs and i can implement it to my own, and a song we'll work on will do big numbers.

do you have any upcoming shows in the next couple months ?

Answer: Sadly I don't. But hopefully in 2020 I can change all that.

for people who havent heard of you what sets you apart from other artists?

Answer: My image, sound selection, drum patterns, songs I sampled, make beats into a musical tale which tells a story, and very diverse with every genre you can think of. Accept Dubstep, that's a whole ballgame which I'll leave to the pros cause lord knows I don't know how to make a semi dubstep beat from a can of paint.

at the end of the day what does music mean to you ?

Answer: Music is my meditation if I have something I wanna get off my chest, music is one of the many ways I escape from this harsh reality. Music is why life is not so boring and dull. Imagine a world without music, you know how depressing this would be even if it's already depressing then it is? If you think about it, It's what keep this world going. Even influence people to either help their community, or be drugged up. It's like a mind control programming you to do something. It'll always be good for the soul and for the people. But some will use it for evil cause this is the world we live in.

Any live shows or projects you got coming up?  Answer: Show wish, I wish. As for project wise, January 1, 2020 my album Operation: Take Over would be dropping.  Where can the people that checked out this interview find you?
