The Normal Man - Interview

1. Tell us your rap name and where are you from?

I am, a producer residing in San Pablo California!

2. What made you start making music?

It just hit me one day that I verily enjoy the sounds of certain songs I listened to and wanted to make something similar instrumentally.

I am really influenced by various artists such as Kanye, MF DOOM, Tyler, and Aminè to name a few.

4. What is your take on the underground rap scene right now?

My take is that the underground rap scene is extremely full of talent, one just has to look for it.

5. As an artist who has to compete with thousands of others for streams/plays, what makes your music worth people clicking on?

It’s unique in the sense that I try to be as creative as possible especially with such a limited circumstance, such as having a smaller laptop and using a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) that doesn’t give me many features.

6. You have 1 person to thank, who would it be?

My family since they have been extremely supportive.

7. What is your process for recording music ?

I usually have an idea and instantly start the process in my head if my laptop isn’t within reaching distance.

8. Any upcoming projects or singles fans should be getting ready for this year?

I am releasing a project called GRIND (releasing 6/17 Friday) where it’s just hype beats and dj mixes for people who love the gym.

9. What keeps you motivated and on path towards your goals for music?

I am motivated to see the outcome, hearing people scream after hearing my name and seeing people jump to the bass, it’s a great feeling knowing that I could make that possibility happen.

10. What impact do you want to have on the world?

I want people to not care, do what you want, in life you will struggle and go through a lot it sucks but you’re not alone. There’s always a way to get out and find light in things.

11. What's your best collaboration experience with another artist or producer?

I haven’t collaborated with many artists only one from Florida but it was a good experience especially being my first collaboration.

12. Who does all of your cover art or do you make your own?

I make my own covers, I don’t have crazy editing softwares but I have fun making my silly covers.
