Ulttra - INTERVIEW

1. Tell us your rap name and where are you from?

Well my rap name is my real name Ulttra. I am from Silver Spring, MD

2. What made you start making music?

I’ve always been in love with music but it was actually a fake beef that really made me start making music. Where I live there is just a collection of apartment complexes and some friends and I from the other neighborhood competed against them in almost everything basketball, video games anything, you name it. One day some friends from my complex and I were chilling at the crib and we made a diss track against our friends in the other complex and from there on I’ve been rapping ever since.

3. Who are your influences?

A lot of people for real to name a few Wifigawd, Black Kray, Playboi Carti, Kanye West, Pharrell, A$AP Ant, Lil Yawh, Lil JoJo, Lil Jay, and Lil Xelly.

4. What is your take on the underground rap scene right now?

I think It’s beautiful for real because there’s sounds for everyone.

5. What are your goals for 2019 regarding music?

Just continue to put out music and get my name out there and definitely get people on my campus to fuck with my music.

There are so many people but it would definitely be my Mother.

7. What is your process for recording music ?

Lights off, TV on with no sound just subtitles playing a movie it’s always a classic, and my MacBook and mic with headphones just surfing beats. Honestly if I can rap one bar on the beat I can instantly make a song.

November 15th I’m dropping my next tape Awkward Flexer.

My favorite part is hearing my own music because it’s what I want to hear.

I just wanna show people you can use your platform to help those in need no matter what you are Rapper, Athlete, or anything.

11. What are your ambitions with music is this just a hobby or is this a full blown 24/7 lifestyle your embodying?

At first it was just a hobby but ever since I copped this Macbook I’ve been going harder than before. I still want to be in school while on my music shit too a lot of my friends think im crazy but I really want this degree because I owe it to my Mom and Dad.

12. Who is your favorite artist in the rap game right now and why?

Playboi Carti always gonna be my favorite but Rewind Raps is Definitely my fav as of now just because of his sound and his grind.

13. what does the music you create make you feel?

My music makes me feel fly as hell i just be feeling like the flyest mf ever.

14. why is music so important and dear to your heart ?

Music is important and dear to me because it gets me through everything if i'm trying to crunch out an assignment I throw on some music then boom done, or if I’m working out throw on that playlist. Music is just so powerful it feels so good to make something you thought about and hear the sounds you created.
